Connecting 15 locations spread all over the state of Washington can be very expensive both in connection and support costs.

PFH has just fewer than 20 branches across the state of Washington. A very inexpensive application is used to manage loans to customers from any location. Because the application was not developed for far reaching branch locations the company was faced with having to buy a very expensive enterprise solution.

ENS connected each branch to the Internet with a cheap DSL or cable modem connection and a low end firewall. Site-to-site VPN connections were configured to connect each branch back to the corporate data center. Remote locations function as if they are just another wing at the main office.

Finally, 'Dumb terminals', or ‘Thin Clients’ were installed at the remote offices connecting to a terminal server at the data center. All support needs were met using remote control without traveling to the remote locations. Terminal Servers at the main location are kept separate from the application servers so that the entire system can be scaled as the customer adds additional remote stores.

"ENS found the absolute right solution to our business problem. After designing the solution, they set up a computer lab to prove not only that it would work, but also that it could be implemented without disruption to our business. We have relied on ENS for our senior IS thinking for over four years and are very happy with that decision."
